Kylie Jo Jennings
Kylie Jo Jennings enjoyed every moment of performing with her friends throughout her time at East High, and looks forward to starting the next exciting part of her life while attending Columbia College Chicago as a Music major seeking her BA in Vocal Performance. She enjoyed acting and singing alongside some of the most talented kids in East shows like You Can’t Take It With You, Bye, Bye, Birdie, Comic Potential, and of course, the Kansas debut of the Broadway hit Urinetown as Officer Barrel. Some of her favorite memories include those made backstage and on stage during the production of Nights of Broadway 3 and Nights of Broadway 4, during which she became known for her appearances as the title role from Elton John and Tim Rice’s Broadway collaboration, Aida. Within the Wichita Community, Kylie has enjoyed performing under the direction of many talented performers and mentors through her involvement with Music Theatre of Wichita, Music Theatre for Young People, Garage Theatre, as well as the Kechi Playhouse. She has performed in shows like Aida and Grease, and starred in productions of Footloose, the world premiere of the musical Bethlehem, Kansas, and Children of Eden. Kylie hopes to come back to Wichita in the future as a well-established musician and performer. She will continue to support the arts in all her endeavors, and asks that everyone do the same, since East is too rich in its diversity, not to give something back to the artistic community. She would like to thank everyone who has ever offered – as well as those in the future who may share – their friendship, kindness, and patience, with special love and thanks to her family, Mo, the Riney’s, and all her other high school teachers and angels. Kylie owes all thanks and praise to the One above, who grants her constant grace and love. “Hope you’ve enjoyed the show, folks. There is certainly more to come!”
